Karen is a dedicated Support Coordinator at Locus Services with over 20 years of experience in the disability sector. Passionate about empowering individuals, Karen helps participants navigate their NDIS plans, secure the right supports, and achieve their personal goals while effectively managing their funding.
Her career began in a disability day options program, later expanding into Supported Independent Living, where she progressed to a Team Leader role in Port Augusta. Drawing from both professional expertise and personal experience with family members who have disabilities, Karen is deeply committed to a person-centered approach—recognizing that every individual’s needs are unique.
One of Karen’s proudest achievements was securing an eye gaze machine for a nonverbal child, enabling them to communicate with their family, peers, and community. This moment reinforced her passion for ensuring participants have a voice, choice, and control over their lives.
